What the guy in the first video doesn’t realise is that the banana he is holding is taken from a plant that was grown in a test tube. The modern banana is so far distant from the original natural banana that it can’t even reproduce. It must have human intervention to even grow.

The second video? He clearly doesn’t understand evolution or how life may have started. Maybe if the world was made from peanut butter he might have a point!

Frankly, I had never heard of this argument about the banana until now, though I was aware of the origins of the modern banana. Isn’t it ironic that this man is using as evidence of intelligent design something that was a product of artificial selection; a process that inspired Darwin to develop his own theory of natural selection?

The peanut butter video was even more absurd. Fundamentally, evolution is a theory that describes how species change and evolve over time, not how life came to be in the first place. That is why Darwin called his book “The Origin of Species” and not “The Origin of Life.”
