And from the ashes…

…I just go back to being ashes. No arising like a phoenix today. This is a sad post but since there’s not a lot of people who really go to this site I suppose it will only be sad to me. I’ve decided to stop updating whereisyourgod.com
It’s not that I don’t agree with everything I have said, because I do. And I do believe religion is destroying our country as well as our ability to reason. But it comes down to priorities. We only live once, one shot on this earth and though I despise religion I still understand it. I wish against all hope that I could be oblivious to logical thinking and just believe that one day I’ll live somewhere forever for all eternity. Unfortunately, I’d just be lying to myself. So more important to me than devoting myself to the Christians and fundamentalists I’m going to focus on things more important to me. Career, family, love, pursuit of knowledge, music and the list goes on.
Sorry to bail on the few people that came to this site but I’ll still update. It just won’t be about religion necessarily. Though I’m sure I’ll still have things to say on that subject from time to time. So farewell and adieu and may your journey through life be as treasured as mine.

What’s up Brandon, sorry to hear that there isn’t enough people out here pursuing the truth. I just stumbled on to your sight, I have been culminating my own thoughts on the religion subject since I was ten. It all seems pretty easy to me, any way, what’s hard to believe is how so many can see so little. Well I will put this sight in to my favorites, and keep my eyes on it once in awhile. If you care to share your own ideas please let me know, I do have a good idea for a book, I’ll tell you about it some time.
Kent, wickkid@q.com, Take care.
Hey I’m completely new to this site and it seems quite legitimate. Personally I was not raised in any religion and that’s how things just felt right to me, but couple of friends have convinced me to at least give faith (from a christian perspective) a chance. At least the path of searching for something that has no logical or tangible conclusion seemed to help me with my huge-ass ego… it made me hate less… I think. I agree with you that the institution of religion embodied by ‘the church’ will destroy any sanity within human beings, but this does not lead me to discredit faith per se (Logic cannot exist without illogic or something like that). Anyway, I don’t want to give you some huge bullshit rant… just wanted to see if you can respond to a question- do you find ANY merit within faith, rather then religion. I think those two things are completely different. Thanks for the site man, it is much appreciated.
Sorry, I have not been taking care of this site like I should have :p
@swiftedg To answer your question: Faith in itself is a loaded word to me. If you mean faith in god then the only merit I can personally give to it is the merit of coping with mortality. Faith gives people hope regardless of truth, which isn’t always a bad thing. If someone you love dies having faith in an afterlife can help you cope with losing your loved ones or even with your own life.
@wickkid I agree and what’s this idea you have for a book? I’m curious to hear about it.
